A second bedroom in the master suite doubles as an office and den and overlooks a flowering hibiscus garden and the surrounding tropical landscape. The master and office bedrooms have queen beds and both rooms are air conditioned. The master walk-in closet is spacious and equipped with a dehumidifier to provide added protection for your clothes and other valuables. The guest wing has two separate bedrooms, one bedroom equipped with a double bed and one bedroom with twin beds, full bathroom, and a spacious living area with a self contained kitchen. The wing provides a perfect separate living space for visiting guests or family. This home has 5000 total square feet under roof, an infrared alarm system for added security along the driveway, grounds, and house, garage with automatic opener, laundry and utility room, internet service readily available. In addition to all of these amenities, the property also has a separate caretaker’s home and tool shed. A quick five minute walk down a private path brings you to a secluded 40 foot waterfall and pure mountain stream. The current owner occupies this home part-time. The only problem is, our standard is set really high now, and I don’t think anything can come close to your stunning home. We got really good at spotting toucans. The howler monkeys scared us right out of bed one morning; it sounded like they were just outside, past the swimming pool. The next day, the white-faced monkeys showed up. We had blast here. Did zip-lining, scuba diving, white-water rafting, horseback riding; and the funnest-ATVing. The very best. Thank you for sharing your lovely home". Excellent access on the Costanera (Pacific Coast) highway to some of the finest beaches and parks in Costa Rica including Playa Dominical, Playa Dominicalito, Rancho La Merced National Wildlife Refuge on the coast, Playa Hermosa, Playa Uvita, Playa Ballena, Marino Ballena National Park (home of the famous "Whales Tail" coral reefs), Playa Ventanas, Playa Pinuela, and Playa Tortuga. Marino Ballena has the largest coral reef on the Pacific coast of Central America and it forms a crescent necklace with the three small Islands known as Las Tres Hermanas (three sisters) with Ballena Island as the center piece. The park stretches from the southern end of Playa Hermosa to the northern end of Playa Piñuela and about 9 miles (15 km) seaward. A short drive to the newest southern zone Hospital in Cortez, the site of the proposed new southern zone International Airport, and the 30,000+ hectare Terraba Sierpe National Wetlands, which protect the extensive river mouth delta systems, estuaries, and wetlands between the Terraba River and the Sierpe River. Terraba Sierpe has one of the largest protected mangrove reserves in the world and an enormous, intricate conglomerate of river deltas, estuaries, and wetlands that wind between the rivers and up to Boca Sierpe (mouth of the river) and Drake Bay. Drake Bay sees a yearly migration of whales that come to calve and feed their young, and is home to a multitude of dolphin. The mangroves, like an estuary, provide a unique, protective ecosystem that supports an exceptional and diverse amount of life, particularly waterfowl and fish. The town of Sierpe is in the lush and beautiful Valle De Diquis (Diquis Valley). The valley is well known for its giant hand carved spheres of stone and other archaeological relics from pre-columbian times. This combination of diversity and infrastructure are a boost to property valuations and appreciation in the Osa Region.
